Tritoria Group
About the foundation
The Tritoria Foundation was established in 2019 by the brothers Jan and Øivind Lindstad. Later that same year, they donated the majority of their wealth to the foundation by transferring their joint Norwegian investment company, Tritoria Finance AS to the foundation.
Jan and Øivind Lindstad founded Compusoft AS in 1989. The company provides software solutions for kitchen and bathroom retailers and has consistently generated profits with annual dividend payouts benefiting the Lindstad brothers as majority shareholders and their investment companies. In 2018, approximately 60% of Compusoft shares were sold to TA Associates, a global private equity fund.
Proceeds from Compusoft investment have been reinvested in other businesses, primarily in real estate and property development. These investments are currently managed by Tritoria Finance AS. Tritoria Finance AS is the head company in the Tritoria Group. Until 2019, the Tritoria Group was owned by Jan Lindstad and Øivind Lindstad through their private investment companies before the shares were donated as a gift to the Tritoria Foundation.

Purpose
The foundation’s main purpose is twofold. Firstly, the foundation is to serve as a stable and long-term owner of the company that constitutes the head of the Tritoria Group, Tritoria Finance AS, and its subsidiary businesses. Secondly, funds generated beyond what is necessary to secure the financial strength of the group are to be distributed to humanitarian and charitable purposes. The foundation’s structure and stated purpose fulfill the wishes that the Lindstad brothers have for the management and distribution of the fruits of their collective.
